SassyPants & Pastries Monthly Pastry Subscriptions
So, yeah. This was the most delicious project yet. This lady makes a serious pumpkin roll. Let me tell you.
Part 1: Brand Design
This project started with the logo design. Emily was just getting started digging her hands into this pastry subscription business. She was focused on perfecting her recipes and process. She didn’t have time to think about how she was going to come up with a brand for all of this. She knew it would be pink and orange and she knew it had a piggie in it. Perfect!
The logo has two versions. The full version includes Emily’s perfect pink piggie and features a customized typeface. From there we created several one color versions that could be used as stamps to make her packaging as simple and inexpensive to produce as possible.
Part 2: Web Design
Once we finalized the logo we moved onto the website. We had to not only design a yummy looking website, but one that used a process for subscriptions. Which was a first for me! EXCITING!!
Part 3: eCommerce Planning and Consultation
With a limited budget, we stuck with good ol’ PayPal and integrated their subscription capabilities into the website. We also created an email template for her monthly emails and an automated welcome email with a free MailChimp account.
Even though we didn’t have loads of cash to spend didn’t mean the process had to be painful or hard to navigate. I worked with Emily to fine tune the process from subscription purchase through shipping. I also showed Emily how to replicate and customize her monthly subscription customer’s emails so that they could choose which tasty thing they’d get in the mail that month.
