Website Design in WordPress

GoDeep Strategy is a qualitative market research boutique out west in the sunny state of California. Their principal, Miriam Alexander, wanted the website to look more professional and be focused on client contact and a quarterly newsletter signup.

The website design has a few distinctive features. First, I wanted to try something a little more fluid looking. I designed subtle curves for the main page hero image and subsequent page title headers. I also used a presentation the company had recently designed as inspiration for a responsive slider on their services page. I thought this would highlight their analytic thinking and modern style. Another unique feature I added was a responsive horizontal blog timeline to feature all of Miriam’s quarterly posts, also known as her Qzine. Each top level page also features a sign-up form integrated with MailChimp to help her grow her mailing list.

We were both really happy with the way it turned out. We wrapped it all up with a custom WordPress maintenance guide and final consultation via Google Hangouts. I used the screen share feature to click through Miriam’s new admin panel and show her how to update content, administer backups, perform updates and some other cool stuff.

A maintenance plan is always preferable, but I’m always available to provide support to clients who prefer to learn new skills rather than delegate.
